Participants will receive the instruction required to complete the Ontario security guard exam. Those that pass the exam at the end of the course will earn the Ontario Security Guard Agent License and can work as a security guard at the camps and material yards used to build the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission Line Project.

The Ontario Security Guard Agent License will require a criminal reference check. The skills and certificates are transferable to security guard employment opportunities throughout Ontario. The course includes CPR and First Aid certificates and instruction in health and safety, emergency response preparation, the Canadian legal system and effective communications.

• No previous experience required, but previous work as a security guard is an asset.
• Must be age 18+ and must complete a criminal reference check. Recent serious offences will prevent trainees from being eligible for security guard certification with the Project.
• Must be double vaccinated to meet Health and Safety Standards
