LSFN 16th Annual Ice Fishing Derby Results

Ice fishing returned to Kejick Bay this past Saturday as Lac Seul First Nation held its 16th annual Derby.

250 people flocked to the ice by Jack’s Island to catch the heaviest fish for a chance to win the grand prize of $30,000.

Eight fish were caught in total, seven earning prizes.

Not all was lost if you were unable to hook a top fish. Lucky fishermen won random hole draws/prizes throughout the day.

50/50 tickets and NHL tickets were also available for purchase as a fundraiser for LSFN youth who are heading to southern Ontario for the LNHL hockey tournament.

Thank you to all who attended! We look forward to seeing you next year.
