LAC SEUL FIRST NATION RESTRICTED ROAD ACCESS IN EFFECT 

In order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it has been decided by the Chief and Council to enact restricted road access to the First Nation. According to the LSFN Alert Level System, we currently remain in YellowWe continue to run our checkpoint at the FMH Road Bridge and have made amendments to the chart below. In order to practice physical distancing, non-residents (anyone who does not live in Lac Seul) will no longer have access to the First Nation. Effective today, the bridge will be closed at 9:00PM nightly and will reopen at 7:00AM. Only emergency vehicles will be permitted to pass through during these hours 

To ensure the health and safety of all community members, we strongly encourage you to stay at home, except to shop for essential items. In order to limit the volume of people travelling, only 2 people from the same household per vehicle are permittedElders as well as children are advised to remain in the community to reduce the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. 

Special accommodation will be granted to those who travel for medical purposes as well as those who are considered essential staff. If you have a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1Effective Friday, April 3, you will be required to fill out a form which can be found at lacseulfn.org, and have it approved prior to travel.
