COMMUNITY NOTICE RE: PHYSICIAN SERVICES

It is with great pleasure that Chief and Council of Lac Seul First Nation announce we will be aligning Physician Services with the Independent First Nation Alliance, Mamow Health as of April 1, 2023.

The new model of Physician Services supports our goal to work towards Health Transformation through Self Determination, Self-Governance, and Reconciliation.

This change in service supports the mission and vision of Lac Seul First Nation:

• Mission Statement:  To lead Obishikokaang Nation in becoming a strong, vibrant, and self-sufficient community where the needs of all members are respected.

• Vision Statement:  Obishikokaang is a strong, healthy, and economically prosperous community committed to self-sufficiency, good governance, service equity and fairness for all its members.

Please note, there will be no immediate change to Physician Services other than a change in service provider. However, further details regarding the transition will be shared with community members once available.
