Community Notice

This morning a house fire took place here in the community. Chief and Council would like to give a big thank you to our local police and fire crew, particularly Deputy Fire Chief Bortlis and Lac Seul Police Chief Spooner and assisting officers and crew members. Thanks to their quick response they were able to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to the forest. A special shout out to everyone involved is well deserved.

We have a great team here in Lac Seul who did a tremendous job today!

Chief and Council would like to remind community members of the importance of being vigilant around fires, we need to be extra cautious this time of year as the land gets dry.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family affected by this fire. The Prevention Centre will be collecting donations to help this family through this extremely difficult time.
