To Work in Our Elementary Schools

Summary: The Speech and Language Pathologist, under the direction of the Education Directors, will primarily be responsible to assess and provide speech and language services to students in our elementary schools, as well as professional support to our school staff to help them support speech and language development in their classrooms. The SLP will provide service to students 1:1, in small groups, and in classroom settings. They will manage the Lac Seul Education speech and language caseload and refer students to other service providers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registration (in good standing) with the College of Speech Language Pathology of Ontario
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion
  • Sensitive to Indigenous culture and barriers/issues
  • Class G License
Salary: $99,099 - $111,839 *based on experience and qualification
Term: Full-Time Position
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location:     Lac Seul, ON
