People & Culture Generalist ( Term )
Summary: The Lac Seul First Nation PC Department is seeking a full-time (term) People & Culture Generalists. Reporting to the Assistant Director of People & Culture, the People & Culture Generalist will be a key part of a talented and fast-paced people team, responsible for providing administrative support to the Assistant Director and Director of People & Culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start or continue the development of their People & Culture career.
Responsibilities:
- Provide recruitment support to the Assistant Director and Director of PC by preparing job descriptions and postings, posting openings, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks and other recruitment support as required.
- Conduct PC Orientation and onboarding either in-office or commute to Whitefish Bay & Kejick Bay.
- Prepare general PC correspondence, which includes employment agreements, employment verification letters, and other sensitive and confidential documents.
- Assist with implementation of our newly adopted Human Resources Policy Manual.
- Assist with compiling and updating employee records and ensuring all employment requirements are met.
- Responding to internal and external PC related inquiries/ requests and providing timely responses.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Diploma preferred.
- 1 – 2 years previous working experience in Administration and/or Human Resources.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
- Strong sense of ownership and a proactive, resourceful approach to challenges.
- An energetic and positive approach to work.
- Strong verbal/ written communication skills with ability to build strong working relationships.
- Knowledge of LSFN, First Nation language and culture is a highly priority.
- A valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel is essential.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Location: Frenchman’s Head, Lac Seul, ON
Term: Term (September 2025) position
Rate: Wages start at $33.97 per hour *dependent on qualifications and experience
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., 35hrs/week
Closing: Open Until Filled
