Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.


Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will work in a local job on a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotation and maintain LD equipment with regular Preventative maintenance, and provide overall production target support for the Pure Gold Red Lake Mine team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines
  • Maintain LD equipment with regular preventative maintenance and on the job repair to minimize downtime
  • Utilize training and developed skills to clean, lubricate adjust, inspect, repair, diagnose, and replace major components, along with air, hydraulic, water, fuel, brake, and low voltage electrical systems on all gasoline powered mining and support equipment
  • Update safety and production work orders and reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
  • Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Technician qualifications considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent proven team player approach to work
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous underground mining experience would be considered an asset
