Hello, my name is Angela. I’m from Minnesota and my mother Rebecca is from Canada. During my enrollment with my fathers tribe for Ho-Chunk Nation of WI they had us do a DNA test and the results were my mother was Lac Seul First Nation. My paperwork came back with my fathers side fully filled out but nothing on my mother’s side. It was blank because my mother was apart of the 60s scoop, she was adopted twice before the age 13 and she has been searching her whole life to find answers to where she came from or if she has living relatives. My mother passed away on sept 13, 2018. On her dining room table was an adoption record request from from Canada she wrote down her name but never finished it. I was simply wondering if there was anyway possible if I can continue the search on her behalf.
