Regional COVID-19 Update August 27th, 2020
Regional COVID-19 Update
The Northwestern Health Unit has reported active COVID-19 cases in the Sioux Lookout and Dryden/Red Lake regions. They recommend that people assume that COVID-19 is in their community and to continue physical distancing, wearing a mask, and practicing good hand hygiene.
Avoid Travel to Manitoba
With the number of COVID-19 cases on the rise in Manitoba, we ask that you avoid non-essential, out of province travel. Please do your back-to-school shopping locally and remain in Northwestern Ontario. Schools will be requiring families who travel to Manitoba to do online-learning for 14 days after their return.
Visitors to Lac Seul First Nation
Non-residents who wish to visit Lac Seul must request permission by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In your email, please include all names of the people in your group, the dates, and the community you are planning to visit (FMH, KJB, or WFB). All requests are reviewed by Chief and Council on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon.
If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or are worried that you may have been exposed to the virus, please visit the clinic in Frenchman’s Head or Kejick Bay to be tested.
