The Northwestern Health Unit has reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the Sioux Lookout area. Contact tracing is under way. We are currently in Level Yellow on the LSFN COVID Alert Level System, and Chief and Council will be closely monitoring the situation and COVID cases. Please be prepared for the possibility of moving to Level Orange in the coming days. We will update the community as more information becomes available.
We ask you to remain cautious and act as though COVID-19 could be anywhere. Please stay home as much as possible, practice physical distancing and good hand hygiene, and wear a mask. We urge you to avoid all non-essential travel. If you have symptoms or are worried you may have been exposed to the virus, COVID testing is available at the Frenchman’s Head and Kejick Bay clinics.
Visitor requests for this week have been approved, but are subject to change.
