Important Community Notice

Due to the stability of Lac Seul First Nation at this time, Chief and Council have decided to move the community colour code system to yellow beginning Monday, April 26, 2021. Although the communities are moving to code-yellow, the importance of following provincial guidelines remains high. In many areas of the Province, COVID-19 cases and variants are on the rise, therefore it is recommended that families stay prepared for a possible community lockdown and change in colour code system in the future.

As of Monday, Elementary schools will move to in-person learning, while High Schools will continue with virtual learning as per provincial guidelines. The band office will continue to operate by appointment only.

A reminder to community members that there is still a stay-at-home order in place that prohibits indoor gatherings. Under the community code-yellow system within LSFN, land-based/outdoor activities with precautionary measures are encouraged to promote physical and mental wellbeing (walking/hiking, hunting, bike rides, cultural activities, etc.).

If you feel unwell you can arrange for a COVID-19 test by calling the Frenchman’s Head clinic  (582-3512) or the Kejick Bay clinic (582-9821) to book an appointment on weekdays or at the Meno-Ya-Win Emergency Department on weekends.

Please stay home and keep us all safe.
