Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.

 

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the successful candidate will safely provide security through established systems and processes for the Puregold Red Lake Mine and provide overall support for the health and safety team.  The Protective Services Officer will work alone on a part time basis.

The focus of this role will include:

  • Man the gatehouse, providing access control with ingress & egress.
  • Provide escorts for ambulance, terminated employees, BRINKS and other personnel as required.
  • Provide Covid19 screenings, site inductions/instructions for all personnel visiting or working onsite.
  • Monitor, search, and inspect all personnel, visitors, vehicles, and materials entering and leaving site.
  • Ensure safety and emergency procedures are being followed and provide conflict resolution.
  • Responded to all emergency situations including medical and site emergencies.
  • Data entry for both computerized and manual.
  • Conduct patrols for site property via foot and vehicle transportation to ensure operational standards are being followed and to guard against fire, theft, and vandalism.
  • Comply with ethical and confidentiality agreement for all operations.
  • Complete all additional training regarding chemicals and mine site safety to properly conduct your duties.
  • Created and assisted with the implementation of security documentation that is used daily.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of protective services in a related industry
  • Proven ability to follow safety procedures
  • Ability to multitask and maintain confidence
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work alone
  • Comfortable in occasional high pressure and changing environments
  • First Aid and Level C Certification or willing to be trained
